Nagaland: COVID-19 tally touches 3,322 as 154 new cases detected
Kohima: COVID-19 cases in Nagaland touched 3,322 on Friday as 154 more persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The new cases were detected out of 831 samples that were sent for testing.
Out of the new cases, 84 cases were detected from the state's capital Kohima, 58 cases from Dimapur, 10 from Zunheboto and one each from Mon and Wokha districts.
With the addition of the new cases, Dimapur has now recorded a total of 1,718 positive cases out of which 1,296 are active, Kohima has 869, of which 646 are active, Mon has 263 total cases of which 116 are active, Zunheboto has 91 total cases of which 75 are active and Wokha has 18 cases of which 10 are currently active.
Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom took to Tiwtter to inform about the new cases.
"Update! 154 new +ve cases of COVID-19 have been detected out of 831 samples tested.
84 in Kohima, 58 in Dimapur, 10 in Zunheboto, 1 each in Mon & Wokha. Necessary contact tracing have activated. Wear Mask, Keep Distance, Stay Safe," the minister tweeted.
