This comes two days after Union home minister Amit Shah tested positive for the virus on Sunday
New Delhi: Union petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. He has been admitted to Medanta Hospital.
Informing about the diagnosis, Pradhan tweeted, "On seeing COVID-19 like symptoms, I got myself tested. My reports have comeout positive. On the advise of doctors, I have admitted msyelf to the hospital. I am healthy."
This comes two days after Union home minister Amit Shah tested positive for the virus on Sunday.
According to reports, the minister's staff had earlier tested positive for the virus. Since then, Pradhan was in isolation.
Pradhan joins the league of many high profile politicians who have been infected including Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa and former Karnataka CM Siddharamaiah, and Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit.
