Zion Hospital and Research Centre on Wednesday clarified that the hospital was fully functional and the sealed areas of the hospital have been declared safe
Dimapur: Amid concerns raised by the public after a nurse tested positive for COVID-19, the Zion Hospital and Research Centre in Dimapur on Wednesday issued a statement saying that "the sealed areas have been declared as safe and the hospital is fully functional. The nurse who tested positive was part of the medical team taking care of the patient who tested positive on 22nd July 2020 and not as stated." The clarification comes after a news article that went viral in the social media on Wednesday.
The hospital management of Zion Hospital Medical and Research Centre further stated that "All close contacts were identified and isolated as per protocol. The said nurse and a health care worker who tested positive on RT-PCR have subsequently been shifted to a COVID Hospital. The rest of the staff attending to the same patient have tested negative on RT-PCR. And as directed by CMO office, the sealed areas have been declared as safe, and the hospital is fully functional."
