Following the reports of a medical officer at Senapati district hospital in Manipur testing positive on Friday, deputy commissioner Lalithambigai K issued an order for the immediate closure of the hospital over its normal functioning until further notice.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday. Chouhan is the first head of state to test positive for the novel coronavirus in India.
Informing about the same, Chouhan tweeted: “My dear countrymen, I was having COVID-19 symptoms, after testing, my reports have came back positive. According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 456,071 active cases with 31,358 deaths so far in the country. As many as 849,431 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
