As the novel coronavirus positive cases surged past the 3,000-mark, the Tripura government has decided to introduce the antigen test to all inpatient care (IPD) patients across the state.
The notification issued by health and family welfare director Dr Radha Debbarma informed that all IPD patients of health institutions, including private nursing homes & ILS hospitals, would be tested for early Testing Tracing Treatment (TTT) considering the increase in number of COVID positive patients and trend to spread among community recently. The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 1,238,635 on Thursday (July 23), as of 8 am, with the death toll standing at 29,861.
According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 426,167 active cases with 29,861 deaths so far in the country. As many as 782,606 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
