11 from Peren, 8 from Dimapur and 3 from Kohima — all from quarantine centres — test positive for COVID-19
Kohima: Nagaland's tally for total confirmed cases of COVID-19 is now nearing the 1,000-mark after 22 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday taking the state's tally to 978.
The new cases were detected as positive out of 216 samples that were sent for testing. Out of the 22 fresh cases on Saturday, eleven are from Peren, eight from Dimapur and three from Kohima. All cases are detected from the quarantine centres, informed Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom.
The COVID-19 status in Nagaland so far is:
Positive cases: 978
Active Cases: 573
Recovered Cases: 405
Taking to Twitter, Phom wrote: "Update! Out of 216 samples tested, 22 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed. 11 in Peren, 8 in Dimapur & 3 in Kohima. All cases are from Quarantine Centres".
