Nagaland: 6 more test positive for COVID-19; state tally crosses 900-mark
Kohima: Six more persons from Dimapur tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday taking the state's tally of confirmed cases to 902. The new cases were reported out of 170 samples that were sent for testing.
Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu took to Twitter to inform that two more persons — one each from Kohima and Dimapur — recovered from COVID-19 on Wednesday. All recovered patients are reported to be under close observation.
With the addition of the six new cases, the total number of positive cases has crossed the 900-mark as it hit 902 on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Nagaland recorded 896 total confirmed cases. Six new recovered cases were also reported taking the number of recovered cases to 346.
However, with the addition of the two new recovered cases on Wednesday, the total recovered cases now stands at 348 and the number of active cases is now at 554.
"Update! Out of 170 samples tested, 6 positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Dimapur. And 1 each of COVID-19 patient from Kohima & Dimapur have been recovered. We are monitoring the recovered patients under close observation," Phom tweeted.
