New Delhi: An Uttar Pradesh police personnel who was in the same vehicle transporting nefarious gangster Vikas Dubey from a temple in Ujjain, has tested positive for COVID-19, said reports.
According to reports, the constable's reports came positive late on Saturday. He is now admitted to an isolation ward. Meanwhile, four other police persons who were in the same vehicle has tested negative as of now.
Contact tracing of the constable is currently underway.
Wanted criminal Dubey was arrested from a temple in Madhya Pradesh after a 5-day chase across four states. He was gunned down during an escape attempt the very next day.
According to police claims, the vehicle used for transporting the gangster had toppled on the roads which was slipper after heavy rains. During this accident, Dubey tried to escape, and was eventually killed in an encounter.
