In a bid to contain the COVID-19 outbreak in Guwahati, Assam government has imposed a 14-day total lockdown in the city effective from Sunday midnight.
The lockdown comes in place as a substantial number of COVID-19 cases are being reported from the city. Just on Sunday, a total of 327 new COVID-19 cases were detected across Assam, out of which 195 were from Guwahati alone. READ MORE
COVID-19 positive cases rose to 434 as 19 new cases were reported in Nagaland on Monday morning. The number of active cases stands at 270.
Out of the 19 new cases, 18 persons are from Jakhama quarantine centre under Kohima district and one from Peren quarantine centre. These samples are from a lot of 322, which were sent for testing. READ MORE

Another 327 persons tested positive for COVID-19 aka coronavirus in Assam on Sunday night. With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases has gone up to 7,492 in the state.

According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 210,120 active cases with 16,475 deaths so far in the country. As many as 321,722 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
