39 more COVID19 patients has been recovered; the recovery rate in Manipur has jumped to 39.56 per cent, said additional health director Dr K Sasheekumar Mangang
Imphal: As many as 1,705 samples were tested for COVID-19 on Saturday, in which 25 persons tested positive in Manipur. They are from districts of Imphal West with 11 cases, four from Ukhrul and one each from Kakching and Thoubal.
As per the data released by the state surveillance officer, Dr L Tomcha Khuman, the total number of confirmed cases for COVID-19 has soared to 1,095, whereas the accumulative active cases stands at 660.
The number of recovered cases in the state has increased to 432 with 39 persons, including three frontline workers of Bishnupur district hospital testing negative in consecutive RT PCR tests. They are being discharged from JNIMS and UNACCO COVID-19 Care Centers, respectively.
The recovery rate in Manipur has jumped from 36.55 per cent to 39.56 per cent, said additional health director Dr K Sasheekumar Mangang.
Of the new 25 samples tested positive at Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratories (VRDLs) at RIMS and JNIMS, 19 of them are being admitted at COVID Care Center, Senapati and another six at UNACCO School COVID Care Center for further treatment.
Till date, at least 48,220 samples have been tested for the virus, mostly the returnees from various parts of the country during the ongoing pandemic lockdown.
