Out of 975 samples, 23 tested positive for COVID-19. The state now has 451 active cases
Agartala: 23 persons out of which, 22 are returnees, and one truck driver have tested positive for coronavirus in the state taking the positive cases to 1,264.
These include two from Khowai district, four from Dhalai, five from South, nine from Sepahijala, one each from North and West districts.
Taking to twitter, chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb wrote, “Out of 975 samples tested for COVID-19, 23 people found POSITIVE. All of them have travel history & 1 is truck driver.

Law minister Ratan Lal Nath said Tripura will receive 16 ventilators from the centre on Thursday.
“Tripura government had asked the central government for 37 ventilators to deal with COVID-19. The centre has sent 16 ventilators for the time being, and that will reach the state on Thursday”, Nath said.
As of Wednesday, 808 people have been put in facility quarantine, while 5,354 are in-home quarantine. A total of 58,320 samples have been collected, of which 56,879 samples have been tested. The state is testing 14,208 samples per million with a recovery rate in the state is 65.02 per cent.
He also said 438 people had entered the state through Churaibari check post, of these, 130 are truck drivers, 39 are patients and 269 are stranded persons, while 12 people have come through Damcherra.
Meanwhile, a train with 400 passengers left Chennai for Agartala today. The train is expected to reach the state on June 25. Samples of all passengers returning to the train will be tested, he said.
