12 more persons from Mon district test positive for COVID-19, taking the total tally to 193 in Nagaland; number of active cases stands at 90
Kohima: With another 12 fresh cases of COIVD-19 on Wednesday evening, the total number of positive cases for COVID-19 has spiked to 193. Out of the 238 samples that were sent for testing, 12 tested positive -- all of whom are from Mon district.
Earlier on Wednesday morning, two fresh cases were reported from Kohima and Dimapur each. In total, 14 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported on Wednesday, taking the state's total to 193.
Out of the total of 193 cases, 124 are male and 69 are female with four persons in the age group of 0-17 years, 182 persons between 18 and 44 years, five persons between 45 and 64 years, two persons between 65 and 74 years.
Nagaland has so far reported 103 recovered cases with no COVID-19 related death. The number of active cases stands at 90.
Taking to twitter, Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom tweeted: "Another 12 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 238 samples tested. All cases are from Mon QC.
