Guwahati: Amidst rising number of COVID-19 cases, 231 patients in Assam were discharged from various hospitals across the state on Wednesday after testing negative for the virus. With this, the total number of active COVID cases in the state has gone down to 1,952.

This is the third consecutive day, since the evening of June 15, that the number of discharged patients in Assam has surpassed the total number of active cases.
Currently, Assam has 690 more cured cases, than active cases. Of the total reported cases, almost 57% have been cured, while, about 42% are active cases.
So far, Assam reported 4,605 cases of which 2,642 have been discharged, 1,952 active, 8 deaths and 3 migrated to other states.
