Out of 67 samples that were tested at Dibrugarh, 17 tested positive--all of whom are from Dimapur quarantine centre
Kohima: COVID-19 cases in the state of Nagaland near 150 as 17 more persons tested positive on Friday morning. The addition of these recent cases have taken the state's tally to 147.
This was announced by health minister S Pangnyu Phom on Twitter. The minister informed that out of 67 samples tested at Dibrugarh in Assam, 17 came positive. All the fresh cases are from the Dimapur quarantine centre.
The number of active cases now stands at 117 as 30 persons have reportedly recovered from COVID-19.
Phom tweeted: "17 new cases of COVID-19 +ve have been reported out of 67 samples tested at Dibrugarh. All patients are from Dimapur QC.
Positive : 147
Active : 117
Recovered : 30
Death : 00
Update at 6:20 am, 12th June, 2020".
Although Nagaland continues to record COVID-19 cases every day, there has been no community transmission so far as all 147 cases that are reported in the state are returnees from outside the state.
