Agartala: 31 persons tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday taking the total positive cases to 898. The total number of active cases now stands at 654.

Taking to twitter, chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb wrote, ““Out of 1375 samples tested for COVID19, 31 people found POSITIVE. All of them have travel history.

Earlier, speaking with reporters, education minister Ratan Lal Nath said that a total of 46 persons were released on Wednesday after they tested negative for the coronavirus.
Currently, 84 people are in COVID hospital in AGMC, 242 in COVID care centre, 187 in Hapania COVID care centre, eight in BSF camp hospital, one in Army hospital.
Apart from this 18 others are admitted at Udaipur PRTI and two in Ambassa and 50 in Lalsinghmura, while 82 of them are on the way.
Tripura has a total of 654 active cases, while 239 have recovered and two persons died.
As of Wednesday, 776 people have been put in facility quarantine, while 11,808 are in home quarantine. A total of 43,951 samples have been collected of which 39,997 samples have been tested. The state is testing 10,005 samples per million.
Meanwhile, a total of 474 persons have returned to state through Churaibari including 121 truck drivers, 54 medical and 294 stranded people.
