As on Wednesday, Assam reported 195 new cases

Guwahati: Another 84 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam on Wednesday night, informed health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. With the new cases, the state’s tally is now 1,756.

Of the new COVID-19 patients, 30 are from Dima Hasao, 20 from Hojai, 14 from Biswanath, 10 from Dibrugarh, 3 from Kamrup (Metro), 2 each from Karimganj and Airport; and 1 each from Cachar, Udalguri and Lakhimpur district.

Taking to Twitter, Sarma said, “Alert ~ 84 new cases of #COVID19+

30 Dima Hasao, 20 Hojai, 14 Biswanath, 10 Dibrugarh, 3 Kamrup, 2 Karimganj, 2 Airport, 1 Cachar, 1 Udalguri, 1 Lakhimpur”

As on Wednesday, Assam reported 195 new cases. So far, the state has total 1,756 coronavirus cases of which 1,336 are active, 413 discharged, four dead and three migrated to other states.
