Guwahati: Another 84 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Assam on Wednesday night, informed health and family welfare minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. With the new cases, the state's tally is now 1,756.
Of the new COVID-19 patients, 30 are from Dima Hasao, 20 from Hojai, 14 from Biswanath, 10 from Dibrugarh, 3 from Kamrup (Metro), 2 each from Karimganj and Airport; and 1 each from Cachar, Udalguri and Lakhimpur district.
