Itanagar: As a precautionary measure to contain the spread of COVID-19, Section 144 of the CrPC has been imposed in Dollungmukh in Papumpare district of Arunachal Pradesh by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Koj Tacho.

This comes after a drastic increase in COVID-19 cases in neighbouring Assam, especially in Lakhimpur district, which is in close proximity of Dollungmukh. Few hours prior to the filing of this report, another COVID-19 case was identified in Lakhimpur. Additionally, due to every possibility of the spread of COVID-19 through unknown persons, Section 144 of the CrPC has been imposed from 7 am to 7 pm in the area.

The movement of individuals in groups (not more than four) is restricted. The Rajali check gate, Naka at Dollung Bridge and Tama Bridge under Dollungmukh will be sealed from May 26 to May 31.
