Dhubri resident tests positive for COVID-19, taking Assam’s total to 35; he was in touch with another patient who was part of Athgaon mosque event in Guwahati
Guwahati: A man from Assam's Dhubri district tested positive for coronavirus on Thursday morning, taking the state's tally to 35 cases, informed health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The patient has a history of being in touch with another patient, who was part of Athgaon Masjid congregation in Guwahati, added the minister.
Taking to Twitter, Sarma said, "Alert ~ A man from Bilasipara, Dhubri has tested #COVID positive. He has a history of being in touch with another patient, who was part of Athgaon Majid congregation in Guwahati.
The number of patients is now 35.
