Singapore has extended its lockdown, called a ‘circuit breaker’, by one month till June 1.
The announcement was made by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his fourth national address on the situation. The number of COVID-19 cases in the city-state has been rising over the last few weeks.
The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 18,601 on Tuesday (April 21), as of 8 am, with the death toll standing at 590.
According to the latest updates provided by the Union health ministry, there are 14,759 active cases with 590 deaths so far in the country. As many as 3,251 patients have been cured or discharged and one has migrated.
