The swab sample of the patient, which tested positive twice earlier this month and negative on Wednesday, was sent again to the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) laboratory in Dibrugarh in Assam for a retest.

In the fourth test too, he was found negative for the deadly virus.

Informing about the development on Twitter, CM Khandu wrote, “The first Positive case of Arunachal has tested Negative (twice) after conducting 3rd & 4th test consecutive. The #Covid_19 Positive case in Arunachal Pradesh is now ‘0’.”

The patient was kept in isolation for 13 days at Zonal General Hospital in Tezu under Lohit district.
