Kohima: As the whole country goes into lockdown, Nagaland chief secretary Temjen Toy has once again appealed the citizens of the state to follow governmental orders and stay at home. An update from the DIPR said that Toy reiterated his statement that the lockdown is enforced due to the deadly COVID-19 pandemic and that it “is not a holiday for leisure”.
Appealing all to confine to their homes at this crucial time, Toy said that such lockdowns are “definitely not for family outings and picnics”. He further said that violators will be punished as per the order issued earlier.
