Heal the world: Meghalaya musicians unite to fight coronavirus

Artistes from Shillong come together to spread positive message amid coronavirus threat through music; sing Michael Jackson’s ‘Heal the World’ in viral video

Shillong: Italy surely found a way to beat the boredom of isolation, with India showing gratitude to the coronavirus fighters by ringing bells, clapping hands and banging plates.

Meanwhile, a group of artistes in Shillong came together to spread positive signs with the use of music by singing Heal the World by Michael Jackson.

In a video which has been doing the rounds on social media, artiste Vancouver Shullai starts off with a very powerful message. “As you’re aware there is so much happening in the world right now. And if there is anything that the world needs at this moment is definitely positivity. So I have gathered a few of my friends who are amazing singers to join hands with me to put that positivity into the world through music,” said Shullai.

The singers in order of appearance: Vancouver Shullai, Grace Maureen, Veniza Kharnaior, Banïakitlang Dohtdong, Wadlashem Mawa, Yusuf Kharprim, Meda Kharkongor, Cathrine Pyngrope, Mebalajied Kharkongor, Edisa Pathaw and Melvin Pathaw, Tiarra Sawkmie, Shambhavi Dwevedi, Donlakador Rynjah, Pynksan Syiem, Iomaya Syiem, Badahun Shullai and Gordon Thabah.

What a great way to spread positivity and stand united to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
