263 Indians, mostly students, land in Delhi from Rome; taken to ITBP’s Chhawla quarantine facility in national capital after thermal screening and immigration
New Delhi: Amid the coronavirus outbreak, the special Air India flight carrying 263 Indian students, which took off from Rome on Saturday, has landed at New Delhi airport on Sunday morning.
All 263 evacuees were taken to ITBP Chhawla Quarantine Facility in Delhi after thermal screening and immigration at the airport.
The national carrier's special ferry flight took off from New Delhi on Saturday afternoon. Indians, mostly students, have been stranded in Rome.
Last week, Air India had sent an aircraft to Milan to bring back over 230 Indian stranded there. The airline has already suspended operations on Delhi-Rome and Delhi-Milan routes till March 28.
