As the nation pushes closer to a historic 75 years of our nation’s Independence, a cross country “Victory Run” was organised on Friday by the Indian Army in Guwahati.
The run was arranged to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence which is also termed as “Bharat Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. 175 serving personnel and veterans of the Indian Army took part in the run.
Similar runs were also organised in Delhi, Chandigarh, Bhopal and Thiruvananthapuram, simultaneously.
The run was flagged off by Major General Vikas Saini, General Officer Commanding 51 Sub Area, as a tribute and gratitude to the sacrifices, struggle and unconquerable spirit of our freedom fighters.
The run aimed at spreading awareness for the spirit of the freedom movement to a wider audience and to use the platform to reiterate the Indian Army’s continued service to the nation.
