In the exhibition organised by the Rangiya division, various items which are being used for the safety-related purpose in NFR were displayed. These items can be manufactured locally by local vendors with initiatives, and necessary specifications and guidance can also be provided if needed.

Similarly, exhibitions were also held at places like Katihar, Alipurduar Jn, and Tinsukia on Friday, where various RDSO (Research Design and Standards Organisation) approved critical/safety items with low vendor base were displayed for encouragement and development of prospective local vendors.

The exhibition at Alipurduar and Tinsukia division was inaugurated by respective Divisional Railway Managers. The exhibition at Katihar was inaugurated by Addl. Divisional Railway Manager.

“These exhibitions have received an overwhelming response from prospective vendors, which may help in the development of new industries and increasing the vendor base for procurement of RDSO approved items,” stated the release adding, “NFR hopes that with an increasing number of local vendors; employment opportunity, as well as the local economy, will also get a boost within its jurisdiction.”
