Amit Shah to reach Guwahati tonight as part of 2-day tour to Assam, Manipur
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Guwahati later tonight as a part of a two-day trip to Assam and Manipur.
On Saturday, the first day of his tour, Shah is set to inaugurate a host of projects in Assam and chair meetings in Guwahati. He will also distribute financial grants to 8,000 'namghars' under the Assam Darshan programme.
Shah is expected to lay the foundation stone for Northeast's biggest medical college in Guwahati and several law colleges across the state. He will also initiate the development of Batadrava Than, a cultural and tourist destination in Nagaon.
On the second day, Shah is scheduled to visit Kamakhya Temple before leaving for Imphal, Manipur.
According to reports, he will lay the foundation stones of Churachandpur medical college, an IIT at Muongkhong, the state police headquarters and an integrated command-and-control centre in Imphal, Manipur.
Shah is scheduled to return to New Delhi on Sunday night.
