Former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi's health has deteriorated further, and he is in a critical state due to multiple organ failure on Saturday at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The congress stalwart is on ventilator support after his hospitalisation on November 2 due to post COVID related complications.
Updating on the three-term ex-CM's health, his son, MP Gaurav Gogoi shared Assam journalist Atanu Bhuyan's Tweet, "Ex-Assam CM Tarun Gogoi’s health condition critical. He is currently in ventilation, also he has been reported of multi-organ failure. He is currently admitted at GMCH."
Gogoi, three-terms chief minister of Assam from 2001 to 2016, had tested positive for COVID-19 on August 25, and admitted to GMCH on August 26. He was discharged two months later on October 25, but readmitted merely a weekly later.
