While eating is a necessity, eating quality food is an art that few possess. One kitchen, in particular, that is still in the business of delivering quality food to its loyal customers is The Stayfit Kitchen, owned by entrepreneur Sunil Kakoria.
The Stayfit Kitchen is a cloud kitchen originally from Guwahati, Assam, but with branches spread across the country; Shillong (Meghalaya), Jorhat (Assam), Bangalore (Karnataka). At the moment, Shillong is the only location with the option to dine in.
Kakoria was privileged to be born and brought up in Northeast India. He bagged an MBA in marketing and has gone on to implement the knowledge and skill in the real world. “When I was doing my MBA, we were taught about 6P’s in marketing, but when I started working in the field, I discovered two more P’s; which were ‘Pain and Pleasure’ of customers. This helped me a lot to understand how the market works, and how you can solve the problem of customers by developing a product as per his/her exact requirement.”

For many entrepreneurs, there usually is one specific idea that acts as a driving force, propelling, and sustaining them in the world of business. Kakoria reveals that the passion for delivering quality food that would complement an arduous workout propelled him into the business. “I realised that one can join a gym or start jogging and working out, but when it comes to complete health, it is different. Good health is all about 70% diet and 30% workout.
“So, realising this fact, I saw that there really is no such platform that can help people to serve the diet according to their health goal, and deliver it to their doorstep, especially in Northeast. As a result of our busy schedule, we hardly think about the food that we are consuming and we end up eating junk food especially when we go out to work. So I decided to solve this problem for busy people like doctors, lawyers, corporates, and individuals who are health conscious with The Stayfit Kitchen.”
Although his venture has just been around for three years, the level of quality and commitment to delivering the absolute best to his customers is unmatched. “At The Stayfit Kitchen, food is a combination of quality ingredients loaded with nutrition as per individual health goal and the integration of technology that will enable it to reach you at your doorstep with just a click. Our customers have helped us a lot to grow by sharing their valuable feedback and offering awesome support”.

Continuing, he says, “With an investment of Rs 1 lakh we started with cold-pressed juices only, but with time and demand we came up with diets like high protein low-carb diet, gluten-free diet, keto diet, post-workout diet, pre-workout diet, etc. We also serve both the versions veg and non-veg,” he says.
Businesses have to maintain a level of uniqueness when compared with the rest to attract customers. This, Kakoria reveals, is a quality with which he stands out from the rest. “This is a service industry where you need to match each individual with their health goal and how you can match their budget. We have been able to deliver exactly what our customers are looking for, this is what makes us stand out from the crowd.
