Breaking: Assam govt lifts weekend lockdown, night curfew

Weekend lockdown and night curfew have been lifted, stated Kumar Sanjay Krishna, chief secretary of Assam

Guwahati: “Weekend lockdown and night curfew have been lifted…” stated Kumar Sanjay Krishna, chief secretary of Assam in a tweet on Friday.

Taking to Twitter, Krishna sought to announce the news stating, “Weekend lockdown and night curfew have been lifted, however, please adhere to all the COVID-19 protocols to keep yourself and others around you safe.”

The night curfew was given from 9.30 pm to 5.30 am to restrict the movement of people so that they might not add to the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases.
