Assam down town University partners with Coursera to make students industry-ready

Guwahati: Assam downtown University (AdtU) has collaborated with Coursera, a leading online platform to hone the skills of the students.

With Coursera's world-class content and credentials from the world’s top universities and companies, AdtU's students will be aided in skill development, anf they will be able to track their progress and proficiency against 65 million learners across the world.

Through these global programmes, AdtU's students will learn to prepare for their dream job, refresh their education and keep their competitive edge. It will make them become informed on a variety of topics, access content from over 200 universities and over 30 industry partners. The online platform will make the students part of a community of over 65 million global learners.

A release from AdtU said, "Ultimately in the near future, our students will be highly employable with business, technology and data skills in addition to career-readiness skills like negotiation, leadership, innovation and communication enhancement."

The university students will get free access to Coursera as part of their curriculum.

Students can showcase their certificates of completion from internationally renowned universities from the Coursera portal, in addition to displaying them on social media. Coursera credentials are the second most popular on LinkedIn, where employers and employees meet.
