A lineup of 10 distinguished speakers from diverse fields from India and abroad delivered lectures during the 5-day session
Guwahati: The Research Cell of Assam downtown University (AdtU) successfully hosted a five-day webinar lecture series on the theme "Research in Public and Private Funded Institutions: Its Societal Impact" from June 22 to 26 with a lineup of 10 distinguished speakers from diverse fields from India and abroad.
The webinar started with introductory speech by Dr Maitreyee Sarma Bezbarua, dean of research, AdtU and convener of the webinar, followed by an address by Vice Chancellor, Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury, and Advisor Research and the chairman of the organizing committee, Dr BG Unni.
Dr G Narahari Sastry, Director, CSIR, NEIST, Jorhat was the inaugural expert speaker and the topic of his lecture was the role of Science and Technology in the time of War, Pandemic `and Natural Disaster'.

All the speakers had given inputs and suggestions which might be beneficial to all the participants and lead them to engage in research for better fulfillment of the needs of the society.
The valedictory session was addressed by the AdtU chancellor, Dr NN Dutta and Dean of Studies, Prof Bandana Dutta. They lauded and appreciated the efforts of the Research Cell for providing such a beneficial and thoughtful platform for discussion of research matters.
