Roy said, "It is a one-of-its-kind event which has never happened before, where artistes will perform from the confines of their home."

The event has a line-up of talented musicians, including Girish Pradhan (GATC) from Sikkim; Borkung Hrangkhawl (BK) from Tripura; Mangka from Manipur; Nourhe Khate from Nagaland; Joi Barua from Assam; Henry Varte from Mizoram; Lenzing Doming from Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya's renowned band Soulmate.

On why these artists were picked, Roy said that their style of music is both contemporary yet rooted in traditions.

The programme is a part of Horizon series by ICCR. In normal times, every month, ICCR gives platform to new artistes to showcase their talent, and the extraordinary circumstance of lockdown has called for the unique virtual concert.
