KOKRAJHAR: Security forces nabbed four youth along with arms from different places under Tamulpur police station in Assam’s Baksa district on Tuesday.
According to police sources, a joint team comprising of Tamulpur police, Darangamela police and Indian Army carried out search operations at different places along the Indo-Bhutan border area under Darangamela police outpost in Baksa district from Monday late evening. They were able to apprehend them from different locations in the district.
Security team carried out a search operation at Menkok tea estate near Darangamela late Monday night where one youth, identified as Jawan Kandakar, was apprehended.
On his revelation, more operations were conducted at Palashbari and Patkijuli area and the security forces able to arrest three more militants in the same night.
They have been identified as Budan Kishan, Jiten Lakra and Abhiram Thirki.
Two 7.65 pistol, four live bullets were recovered from their possession during the operation.
