Hagrama Mohilary, who is also Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) supremo, said on Thursday that party will contest the council elections in alliance with BJP & AGP
Kokrajhar: Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary on Monday claimed that Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) is surely going to win a majority in the ensuing BTC elections to be held sometime in March-April.
Mohilary, who is also Bodoland People's Front (BPF) supremo, said that the party will contest the council elections in alliance with BJP and AGP.
While addressing media persons in Kokrajhar on Thursday, Mohilary emphasised that it will make an alliance with UG Brahma-led UPPL in the upcoming council elections besides offering Rajya Sabha seat for UG Brahma from BPF, if he comes to the party fold.
He also said that it is need of the hour for unification of the NDFB. Mohilary also alleged that outgoing ABSU president Promod Boro played double standards during his tenure as the president of the students’ ody.
Meanwhile, Promod Boro reacted to the remarks of Mohilary saying that the BPF must realise what they had been working for the people ever since the BTC Accord was signed in 2003. Today, BTR Accord was signed to meet expectation and welfare initiatives in the region, he said.
