IAF has invited applications for a recruitment rally for openings of ‘Airmen’ in Group Y (non-technical), [IAF (security) trade] scheduled to be held in February at Air Force Station, Borjhar in Guwahati.
Candidates applying for the recruitment rally should be 10+2 or intermediate or equivalent in any stream from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. The applying candidates should be born between January 17, 2000 and December 30, 2003 (both days inclusive) and should have a minimum height of 152.5 cm.
According to sources, the rally will be held in two parts. "The recruitment test for candidates belonging to the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura will be held on February 16 and 17, whereas for candidates from the state of Manipur the recruitment test will be held on February 19 and 20."
The entry will be restricted between 6.00 am and 10.00 am on February 16 and 19 for candidates, said the source and added, "The rally is only for the youths belonging from the seven Northeastern states. Permanent residents of these states, who have pursued 10+2 from different states, have to produce their domicile certificates.”
The source also informed that the necessary documents candidates need to carry with them while attending the recruitment drive include 12 passport photographs with white background, original and six photocopies of Matriculation mark sheet, passing certificate and 10+2 exam mark sheet and certificate, original and six photocopies of NCC (A, B or C) certificate, if applicable, and and original and four photocopies of domicile certificate, if applicable.
