In Dibrugarh, curfew relaxed for 14 hours from 6 am today; however, so far, there is no intimation on restoration of mobile data services
Guwahati: The curfew imposed in Guwahati on December 11 following the passage of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in Rajya Sabha was completely lifted from 6 am on Tuesday.
Also, broadband services have been resumed.
Taking to Twitter on Monday night, Assam CMO informed, "CM Shri @sarbanandsonwal reviewed the law and order situation in a meeting this evening and decided to completely lift curfew in Guwahati from 6 AM tomorrow. Further, it was also decided to resume broadband internet services in the state from tomorrow morning."
The news provided a much-needed sigh of relief to the residents who have been cut off due to violent and widespread protest against the amended Citizenship Act.
Further, according to reports, the curfew has been relaxed for 14 hours in Dibrugarh from 6 am on Tuesday.
However, so far, there is no intimation on restoration of mobile data services.
