"The operation is a result of high alertness level, swift action and co-ordinated efforts of the security forces. This is a major setback to the militant group and has dealt a severe blow to the efforts in extortion in Chirang district. This operation will go a long way in enhancing the safety of the civilians and weaken the backbone of dreaded organisation NDFB-S,” said a senior police officer.
