Tinsukia: Barely a day before hefty traffic fines come into effect in Assam, two women were killed after they were knocked by a speeding car on Convoy Road in Dibrugarh town on Sunday.
The deceased, who were out on morning walk, have been identified as Minu Gogoi and Jonali Dutta, both residents of Dibrugarh town.
Speeding and rash driving caused the accident, witnesses told the police.
