Crowds sway to popular numbers like ‘Bom diggy diggy’, ‘Dimelo’, ‘Oh nana’, ‘Don’t recall’, ‘Hola hola’ and ‘Rumor’; sing along in perfect harmony in Guwahati concert
Guwahati: Over 1,500 music lovers from across Northeast India gathered at Shilpagram in Guwahati, Assam to witness K-pop band KARD’s maiden live performance in the region on Sunday.
Loyal K-pop fans were seen standing in queues with tickets in their hands since early afternoon to catch a glimpse of and cheer their favourite band arrive at the venue of concert.
In return, the band could not help but absorb the love and the support that the crowd radiated from the stands, as songs like Bom diggy diggy, Dimelo, Oh nana, Don’t recall, Hola hola and Rumor received terrific response from the audience, who also sang them along in perfect harmony.
The co-ed K-pop band also played a couple of games with the crowd and handed out signed photo cards to the winners of the mini games on stage. Pink Box Events tagged with the Korean Cultural Centre India to host the K-pop fan meet in the afternoon and the buzzing concert in the evening.
While speaking with EastMojo, Vilina Liyan of Pink Box Events said, “We are really happy with the crowd… I think Guwahati was amazing and we had a blast.”
Earlier, in a message especially recorded for EastMojo viewers, ahead of its performance in New Delhi on Friday, the co-ed quartet said it was a huge honour for them to be in India.
"Namaste, we are KARD. This is our message to all of our Northeastern fans. Thank you so much for loving our music, for loving and supporting us. We can't wait to see you guys," declared BM, a member of the band. Apart from BM, KARD comprises JSeph, Somin and Jiwoo.
"It is a huge honour for us to be in India. We are having a very good time, the food is delicious, everyone’s so welcoming. Very excited to meet our fans," BM added in the video message.
