2 kids sustain severe injuries in accident that happened when the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a minibus at Burapahar area; 10 others hurt
Guwahati: A man and his wife were killed, while their kids sustained severe injuries, in a road accident on Friday that took place on National Highway-37 near the Burapahar area of Nagaon district in Assam.
As per reports, Dr Sumit Garodia, who was a physician at Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), was travelling with his wife and two kids and were heading towards Guwahati from Dibrugarh, when a speeding Tempo Traveller minibus carrying around 14 passengers rammed into their vehicle at Burapahar area.
The nearest Jhakhalabandha police immediately rushed to the spot and arranged an ambulance for the injured kids.
Meanwhile, ten passengers from the minibus who sustained minor injuries were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
However, Garodia’s eight-year-old son is in a critical condition and is currently undergoing treatment in Guwahati, said reports.
