Arunachal Governor BD Mishra praises 2022-23 budget

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh deputy chief minister Chowna Mein on Wednesday called on Governor Brig (Retd) B D Mishra at Raj Bhavan here to discuss the recently-concluded state budget session and the developmental projects in the state.

The governor commended Mein, who also holds the finance portfolio for the successful presentation of the budget 2022-23. He said the budget document reflects the state government’s sensitivity to the needs and aspirations of the citizens and its commitment to the inclusive all-around development of the state.

The Governor was confident that the budget 2022-23 would lay a strong foundation for Atma Nirbhar Arunachal Pradesh.

The Governor appreciated Mein and state legislative assembly speaker Passang Dorjee Sona for reaching out to the troops in the border areas and celebrating the local festivals with them. He said such gestures of senior dignitaries of the state government will boost the morale of the troops in carrying out their duties.

Earlier, the deputy chief minister briefed the Governor about his recent tour to the Shi-Yomi district.

He also apprised the Governor of developmental projects taken up to promote entrepreneurship, harnessing of natural resources and improve road communication.
