Itanagar: National People’s Party (NPP) state vice president Nima Sange joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters here on Monday.

Sange was welcomed into the saffron party by state BJP president B R Wahge, general secretary Chau Zingnu Namchoom, health minister Alo Libang and legislators Disanglu Pul and Jummum Ete Deori.

Wahge while welcoming Sange said the BJP is a highly disciplined political party and suggested him to respect the party’s ideology and principle in letter and spirit.

Sange, on his part, thanked the party leaders and Arunachal chief minister Pema Khandu for accepting him into the party.

He said he has been highly inspired by the developmental works carried out by Khandu in the state and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre.

Further spelling out some of the pro-people initiatives adopted by the chief minister, Sange said that all the individuals and intellectuals who wish to see Arunachal Pradesh among the front runner states in India should join hands with the BJP and contribute to the growth of state and nation as a whole.
