Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government will vaccinate those between the ages of 18 to 45 against COVID-19 free of cost.

The announcement was made following a cabinet meeting on Friday. The sitting chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu reviewed the COVID-19 status and vaccination coverage in the frontier state.

The cabinet accordingly directed the health department to facilitate registration of all people above 18 years in the state.

The cabinet on the day also approved to place an order of 4-lakh Covishield vaccines and to allot an additional amount of Rs 65Cr to vaccinate the persons between the age group of 18-44.
