Itanagar: All those craving for a fun-filled and adventurous trip anytime soon need look no further now as the picturesque valley of Mechuka is all set to welcome adventure enthusiasts with ATVs (an all-terrain vehicle) and kayaks.
The Mechuka Adventure Park at Chupala now has a fleet of five ATVs/Quad Bikes and three kayaks. They were flagged off by the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona on Saturday.
With this, the adventure aficionados can now drive around the valley on the ATVs and enjoy nature’s delight or can jump into the kayaks and feel the might of the Yargyap Chu River.
The Mechuka Adventure Park already offers paragliding as one of its adventure activities while ziplining would also be included in the park’s exciting activity list in a few days from now.
Earlier, while speaking on the occasion, Sona commended Bengia Seeker, the person managing the park, and his team for coming up with the adventure activities in the park.
He exuded hope that such activities will surely attract more visitors, especially adventure enthusiasts to Mechuka and provide employment opportunities for the youths of the area.
The Speaker, however, suggested the adventure park’s managing team not compromise with safety measures. “Make sure that the facilitators of adventure activities got through proper training,” he said.
Later, the Speaker along with Shi-Yomi superintendent of police Gothombu Dajangju, Mechukha circle officer Honjon Perme and others tried their hands on the Quad Bikes and drove them all the way to Mechuka town.
Nestled some 6,000 feet above sea level in the Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh, the surreal and scenic valley of Mechuka is popularly known to be nature’s paradise to adventure and nature enthusiasts.
