Arunachal Pradesh legislative assembly speaker Pasang D Sona has called upon the members of the legislative assembly to get themselves tested for the virus.
Sona on Saturday informed that a Rapid Antigen Testing facility would be set up at the legislative assembly complex on Tuesday (Sept 8) for the legislators to undergo the test.
The testing kiosk would be open from 9 am to 12 pm. “The testing facility is being arranged because of the spike in the number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state and to ensure the safety of the legislative assembly members who being public leaders have to come in contact with people frequently,” the Speaker said.
The move after Education Minister, Taba Tedir tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday. Tedir took it to social media to inform people whoever was in contact with him recently to get tested as soon as possible.
“I have been tested Covid positive. All those who had come in contact with me are requested to isolate and quarantine themselves and also contact nearest Covid centre for COVID test, ” said Tedir in his social media post.
