Tomo Riba Institute of Medical Science (TRIMS)

A 32-year-old died on Monday due to ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome), he COVID-19 positive. The deceased was suffering from Diabetes Mellitus and was shifter to the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS), Naharlagun on Sunday from Covid Care Centre at Lekhi near Itanagar.

This is the third fatality in the state, informed a source in the health department.

Earlier, a 43-year-old woman, who was a resident of Dirang in West Kameng district died on June 25 following COVID-19 infection. She was the first death reported in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. On 06 July, a 40-year-old man died due to COVID-19 and reportedly is the second fatality.

Both were suffering from from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
