Itanagar: In order to create a productive environment for the youths to read and learn, a dilapidated building was converted and modified into an attractive reading hall at the district headquarters of Longding district in Arunachal Pradesh.
A team of college goers under the supervision of deputy commissioner (DC), Cheshta Yadav, this initiative was started amidst the Coronavirus pandemic.
The DC took it to the Twitter to express her happiness on the completion of the reading hall. "Journey of setting up this reading hall has been extremely satisfying. We are working on other innovative schemes as well to empower the youth of the district. We want to be a small contributor towards letting them achieve their dreams!!!," she said in her tweet.
"An unused and dilapidated building in the Longding town was converted and modified into a Reading hall. Sh. Chanphua Wangsu and his team of young college goers transformed the place completely with the minimal fund aid by Dist Admin.," the DC said in another tweet.
