Nich Raja, assistant engineer in Arunachal’s power department, built a machine in collaboration with the Arunachal unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA-AP)
Itanagar: With the theme "LocalKeLiyeVocal", an assistant engineer from Arunachal Pradesh's power department developed an automatic hand sanitizer dispensing machine which is proving beneficial to many.
Nich Raja built the machine in collaboration with the Arunachal unit of Indian Medical Association (IMA-AP). The only machine built so far has been installed at Ramakrishna Mission Hospital in Itanagar.
"As such machines are quite expensive to be bought from the market, we thought of coming up with something similar locally and accordingly, Raja voluntarily came forward to help us build the same," said Dr Lobsang Tsetim, president of the IMA-AP.
"Currently, we are waiting for some parts which should reach us in the next 2-3 days from Guwahati. And once these parts arrive we are planning to build more machines," he said.
Once built the hand sanitizer dispensing machines would be donated to Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences and Directorate of Health Services.
