Lifting a total of 209 kg (93, 116) in U-17, 55 kg category, 13-year-old Golom Tinku wins first gold for Arunachal at the ongoing 3rd Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati
Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh and Assam reigned over weightlifting in Under-17, 55 kg category at the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games in Guwahati on Friday. The gold and bronze was bagged by Arunachal while Assam pocketed the silver medal.
Lifting a total of 209 kg (93, 116), 13-year-old Golom Tinku won the first gold for Arunachal. The weightlifter won a bronze medal in the category in the last edition of the youth games.
Assam's Prabal Pratim Gogoi lifted 207 kg (90, 117) win the gold, while Sankar Lapung from Arunachal lifted 203 kg (90, 113) taking home a bronze medal.
